Marcela is a Registered Psychologist who will work in partnership with you to help explore the roadblocks to becoming your best self. Her goal is to help you work towards and learn practical ways to make your happiness a priority.
Marcela works with adults who may be feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve them, including those navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, addictions, grief, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. Many of her clients come in feeling overwhelmed or disconnected, often frustrated that insight alone has not led to lasting change. In her work, Marcela helps clients explore the underlying patterns contributing to their distress, build practical coping strategies, and develop the confidence and self-understanding needed to move forward in a way that feels meaningful and sustainable.
Her approach focuses on helping clients better cope with challenges such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, addictions, anger, and life transitions, while also supporting healing from the effects of trauma. Marcela draws from a range of evidence-based modalities, including EMDR, Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Prolonged Exposure Therapy, and parts work. She is also trained in psychedelic-assisted therapy, supporting clients in both preparation and integration.
Through this integrative approach, Marcela helps clients process traumatic memories, better understand protective patterns, and make sense of the insights that emerge throughout the therapeutic process. Psychedelic-assisted therapy can be a valuable option for individuals looking to deepen their self-understanding, work through trauma, process difficult emotions, or create meaningful change in their lives. Some clients find that these experiences allow them to access emotions, memories, or perspectives that previously felt out of reach, creating opportunities for deeper healing.
Marcela understands that reaching out for support can feel overwhelming, especially when someone has been carrying things on their own for a long time. She strives to create a space where clients feel heard, understood, and supported as they work toward meaningful change. When clients feel ready, she is honored to be part of their journey.
I believe that a successful counseling outcome is the client’s commitment to the counseling process coupled with a connection to a supportive and competent therapist. If you think you are ready to take the first step towards a positive change, I encourage you to take that step because you deserve it!
